To book: The visit for children and families, from $44 per person. Check dates Tour details
The Museo Egizio does not have fixed free days for everyone. It has a list of categories that enter for free, published in the FAQ and on the tariffs page, and some promotions linked to specific dates.
One rule applies to everyone: the free ticket must be booked online, like the paid one, and at the ticket desk staff check the right to free entry. Without a booking, you cannot enter, even for free.
The answer in brief
Free entry for children aged 0 to 5, people with disabilities and one companion, ICOM members, Abbonamento Musei and Torino+Piemonte Card holders, Passaporto Culturale holders, those celebrating their birthday that day, Museum Members, and other categories. The free ticket must be booked online. The first Sunday of the month is not among the free entries indicated by the Museum.
Who enters the Museo Egizio for free?
The Museum's list categories: children up to 5, people with disabilities with one companion, those celebrating their birthday, holders of certain cards and memberships, tour guides with a group.

- Those celebrating their birthday, on the day of the birthday, with an ID document.

How do you get the free ticket?
Online, like the others: choose the free tariff, or «Ingresso CARD» if you enter with a card, and bring the document that entitles you.
Those with Abbonamento Musei choose «Ingresso CARD» and show the named card with an ID at the ticket desk. With the Passaporto Culturale, you take one «Ingresso CARD» per person: two parents with a newborn make three entries. The passport must be stamped at the ticket office.
For a birthday, an ID document is enough; for disability, certification or a disability card is required. Each free entry is verified by the Museum staff, as explained on the Tariffs page.

Is the Museo Egizio free on the first Sunday of the month?
No: the first Sunday of the month is not among the free entries indicated by the Museo Egizio.
The Museum does not list it. The Museo Egizio is managed by a foundation, the Fondazione Museo delle Antichità Egizie di Torino, and on Sundays you pay as on other days, except for the free categories.
A two-hour visit designed for children, with Egyptian clothes and a crown to wear, entry ticket included. Recommended from age 8.

On certain dates, the Museum offers promotions: Valentine's Day, 8 March, Father's Day, and Mother's Day. They do not apply to groups.

Discover the guided tour of the Museo Egizio Tour detailsIs the Museo Egizio free in summer or for Museum Night 2026?
In the Museum's pages read in October 2026, there are no summer free entries or for Museum Night. For 2026, the Museum has published evening openings: Saturdays until 20:00, 30 and 31 October until 22:00.
We do not promise other dates. When the Museum announces a free evening, we report it with its date in the 2026 free entry calendar. The full opening hours are in the guide to opening hours.
Can you buy Abbonamento Musei and Torino+Piemonte Card at the Museum?
No. They give free entry, but they are not sold at the Museum, and the Abbonamento cannot be renewed there.
The Museum refers to the two card websites for purchase and renewal; prices and conditions are found there. There are no combined tickets with other Turin museums: the city's tourist card is the Torino+Piemonte Card.
The Museum also has its own membership, You&ME: for one year it gives free entry and discounts. For young people, there is a Member under 14 programme.
