To book: The group visit in Italian, from $54 per person. Check dates Tour details
The rules come from the tariffs page and the FAQ of the Museum, read in October 2026. Promotions with a date are valid for that date. For 2027, in the pages we have read, there is nothing yet.
One rule applies to everyone. The ticket, even the free one, is taken online only for a time slot, and staff check every free entry and every reduction.
The answer in brief
Free entry for children up to 5, those celebrating their birthday that day, people with disabilities with one companion, Abbonamento Musei and Torino+Piemonte Card holders, Museum Members and other categories on the official list. The free ticket is booked online like the others. On Saturday 17 October 2026, Notte Bianca is free from 20:00 to midnight. Until 31 December 2026, Trenitalia customers have a €3 discount on the individual ticket. The first Sunday of the month is not among the free entries.
Who enters the Museo Egizio for free in 2026?

Check dates for the group tour in ItalianIs the Museo Egizio free on the first Sunday of the month?
No: the first Sunday of the month is not among the free categories that the Museum lists.
The question is common, the answer is simple: the first Sunday does not appear on the free list. Not even in summer: for 2026 the Museum's pages do not indicate summer free entries. The evening openings of 2026 are there, but with online ticket, except for Notte Bianca: Saturday until 20:00 all year and 30 and 31 October until 22:00.
A special case is the rock-cut chapel of Ellesiya, the small temple donated by Egypt and reconstructed in Turin: the Museum talks about "free opening" since 2024. The pages we read do not explain how to enter without the Museum ticket, so ask the Museum before going only for that.

Which free days remain in 2026?
On Saturday 17 October 2026, for the Notte Bianca of the Erasmus Days, entry is free from 20:00 to midnight with mandatory booking; on Sunday 18 October there is a free musical matinée in the Sala Conferenze.
Notte Bianca is on the Museum's online shop: Turin is Erasmus Destination 2026 and the Museum opens for free in the evening, with paid guided tours in Italian and English. Booking is required.
«Onde» is a series of 12 musical matinées of 50 minutes with the Torino Philharmonic Orchestra, the «Giuseppe Verdi» Conservatory and the Merz Foundation. Entry is free with mandatory booking, from via Eleonora Duse. The concert on 18 October is at 11:00. Attention: the concert ticket does not grant access to other areas of the Museum.
| Date | What | Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Saturday 17 October 2026 | Notte Bianca for Erasmus Days | Free entry 20:00 - 24:00, mandatory booking; paid guided tours |
| Sunday 18 October 2026, 11:00 | "Onde", matinée in the Sala Conferenze | Free with booking; entrance from via Eleonora Duse; concert only |
| Until 31 December 2026 | Discount for Trenitalia customers | €3 off the individual ticket, €6 off the Family 2+2 |
What promotions has the Museo Egizio made in 2026?
On some days the Museum offers promotions: Valentine's Day, 8 March, Father's Day and Mother's Day; none apply to groups.
In 2026 these dates have already passed. We report them because the Museum keeps them on the tariffs page. If they return in 2027 we do not know: check there before organising.
| Occasion | Who | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| Valentine's Day | Couples | 2x1 entry |
| International Women's Day, 8 March | All women | Free entry |
| Father's Day | Fathers accompanied by children | Free entry for the father |
| Mother's Day | Mothers accompanied by children | Free entry, with online booking |

Online, on the Museum's shop, choosing the free tariff or the «Ingresso CARD» option for a time slot; at the entrance show the document entitling you to free entry.
No tickets are sold at the ticket desk, not even free ones. The time slot works the same for everyone: you enter within 15 minutes of the start, not before, and a delay may cost you the entry. There is no priority lane for Abbonamento Musei or Torino+Piemonte Card holders, and neither can be bought or renewed at the Museum.
Each person has their own ticket, free, reduced or full price. Paid tickets are non-refundable. How to choose the time slot is in the guide to opening hours and booking.
With the audio guide on your smartphone you get a timed entry and the explanation on your phone; tickets arrive by email and WhatsApp.
