The Museo Egizio in Turin has five paid tariffs and a long list of free entries. The full price, in 2026, is €18. The rule that weighs the most, however, does not concern the price: the ticket is bought online only, even when it is free, and it is not sold at the desk.
Each ticket is valid for a time slot and, as the Museum writes in its FAQ, is non-refundable. Below you will find the tariffs as published by the Museum in October 2026, the reductions with their conditions and the GetYourGuide visits that include the entry ticket.
The answer in brief

Up to 5 years old entry is free. Tickets are bought online only, are valid for a time slot and are non-refundable.

How much does entry to the new Museo Egizio cost?
The same €18 ticket: the new galleries are part of the route and do not have a separate price.
The «new» Museum is above all the permanent galleries opened recently: «Materia. Forma del Tempo», on the ground floor since 5 October 2024, and the Galleria dei Re. The Museum's ticket shop website states that the entire Museum is visitable, new galleries included, but that due to works the route is less linear and the cloakroom is suspended.
The rock-cut chapel of Ellesiya, on the ground floor, has been free to visit since 2024. What to see floor by floor is explained in the guide to what to see.

Who is entitled to reductions?
Over 70s and journalists pay €15, young people ages 15 to 18 and university students pay €3, children ages 6 to 14 pay €1. Then there are special rates linked to cards and agreements.
- Royal Pass: reduced to €15.
- Carta Giovani Nazionale:€3 with the CGN discount code found in the IO app. Entry plus a fixed-departure guided tour, in groups of up to 25, for €10 instead of €25.
- Alliance Française members:€12, rate valid until 28 April 2030.
- Tappeto Volante2 - Gruppo Alpitour members:€12 until 21 December 2026.

Until 31 December 2026, Trenitalia customers get a €3 discount on the individual ticket and €6 on the Family 2+2.
The discount applies to four groups: CartaFreccia holders with a Frecciarossa ticket; X-GO members with an Intercity, Intercity Notte or Regionale ticket; Regional season ticket holders; foreigners not resident in Italy with a Frecciarossa, Intercity, Intercity Notte or Regionale ticket.
On the day of the visit, show the train ticket together with the Museum ticket at the ticket desk. For single-journey tickets, the Museum asks for a journey to Turin within the 3 days before entry; the rest of the conditions are on the Tariffs page.
Where can you buy Museo Egizio tickets?
Online only, on the ticket shop linked to the Museum's official website. At the ticket desk no tickets are sold, not even free ones.
The official website is museoegizio.it. The «tickets & shop» button leads to the online shop egizio.museitorino.it, managed by the Museum's service concessionaire. There you choose the day, the time slot and the rate. To enter for free choose the free rate; with a card like Abbonamento Musei choose «Ingresso CARD».
There is also a Booking Office, Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 18:00, at number 011 4406903. It is mainly for guided tours and groups.

Is the Museo Egizio ticket refundable?
No. The Museum states that tickets are non-refundable. The guided tours on GetYourGuide have free cancellation, within the times indicated on each listing.
There is also the time rule. You enter within 15 minutes of the chosen time, not before, and a delay may cost you the entry. So choose a slot that gives you time to arrive.
For GetYourGuide visits, free cancellation is up to 24 hours before; for the private tour up to 2 days before. These are tours by local operators, not the Museum: two listings state this clearly.
